Hola hola!
I did write a bunch of letters today. I'll try and get them sent. I actually talked to a member that told me he'd be willing to take them for me.
This past week I got all my Christmas wishes. A few cards from members of the ward and from family, as well as Mariana's package. Thank you to everyone for everything! I got a card from Sis. Alder as well, and I'll write to her tonight. And hopefully get it sent this week.
Congrats little kiddies on your zero loss season! I hope that you had fun.
We've been so blessed as we've strived to work diligently and by the spirit. I know we'll be seeing many fruits for our labors.
I haven't heard anything about the new mission. But I'm sure we will soon. That's cool!
Have a great week, and remember to finish the month strong!
Elder Jordan Keele
P.S. Happy birthday Tyler!

Hola Familia!
Wahoooo!!! We have a baptism this weekend that I´m super excited about!!! :) He´s a capo! [fabulous, great?] He´s 15. His name´s Alexis (I´m noticing a lot of differences in the names we use for boys and girls haha). His parents were in the list of old investigators, and we passed by and had 5 minute lessons in the door way but they never invited us in because they were always too busy.
Well about 3-4 weeks ago Alexis answered the door. He said that he goes to the Evangelical church with his girlfriend. We asked him if he had ever been to our church, and he said no because the 2 Americans that promised to pick him up never went to get him. But when we were talking to him he didn´t act like he was interested in going because of his girlfriend. Well, that Sunday we had a meeting 40 minutes away and a few dilemmas before church and weren´t sure if it was worth going to get him because he lives far from the church. We decided to call him and see if he was really going to go, but his phone was off so we figured he was sleeping or didn´t want go. So we didn´t go get him.
Later that week we went to visit them again and he said he was waiting for us :( Aww. We felt so bad. So that week we promised we would pick him up. Long story short, we ALMOST didn´t because Satan's tricky. But the good news is we did! It was the same day as Rolando´s baptism. We ran out of phone credit. Rolando was no where to be found so we were stressed out enough as it was. But we went in a taxi and picked Alexis up and the baptism went smoothly! :) And now Alexis is going to be baptized this Saturday! He told his mom yesterday and she wanted him to think about it more. But he said no, I feel like it´s my time, and for the first time his mom invited us in AND she came to a family night with us at the church! Alexis wasn´t even there!
Everyone in the ward loves Alexis too. He´s only been 3 times but everyone knows him, and we have absolutely no fellowshipping problems. It´s actually the opposite. We have problems trying to talk with him when he´s in church. He has his own paparazzi! haha
Anyway, I´m really excited about this week!! :) And now I have to go, but I love you all!!! Keep being good.
Love,
Jess

Hola familia!
Happy Valentine´s day to you too! :)
Another good week, We have such amazing investigators right now. I want to see them all in white!! :) Also, last week we went to the farewell of the missionaries that left, and David was there (son of Maria y Luis) with Claudie Hein, (Maria´s sister) from Campana. :) it was soo good to see them!
To answer your questions...
-Argentina is great! I´m not really sure if it´s cooled down at all or if I´m just starting to get used to it!
-My companion from Campana last I heard is still in Campana and Hna Allen is engaged!!! (To D´s brother, Ness) I'm soo excited for her!! :)
-My shoes are doing great, thank you. I had to repair one pair in Campana, but it was way cheap and so far so good.
-About my retainer... oopps. I´ll try to remember tonight.
-Vitamins, well I don´t think I'll run out of them. haha
-and the sunscreen...It´s too humid to put it on.
-About the stamps, I don´t really understand them but they´re not really stamps. It´s like a long sticker. At least from the letters I've mailed so far, but I´ll see what I can do.
Derek dancing!! Man, I still want to see him do Zumba. When you get Danielle Smith's address, could you send it to me? She´s going to Taiwan, no?
Thank you for sending me that story. It´s always good to hear other missionaries' stories! Well, I´m done for today. I hope all is well! I love you all!!!! Again, Happy Valentine´s Day!!!
Con amor,
Hna Keele

Elder Jordan Keele- Feb. 7, 2011
Hola,
Well, I guess now would be an appropriate time to tell you that we didn't end up getting a third companion. Since we don't have a phone, our nearest neighbor (who lives a whole 10 feet away, right next door), interrupted our companionship study Thursday morning to tell us that our leaders had called him to tell him to tell us that we didn't need to go to Aragon for the changes meeting. We later called our ZL's to find out what was up. All they said was there weren't 9 missionaries coming, there were only 8.
Who's ready for a pretty sweet experience? I know I am! I don't know if you'll remember who Maria del Carmen is. She was an investigator that we found and brought to church the 2nd of January. She bore her testimony of the Plan of Salvation during Relief Society. She informed us that she had to move later on that week, and I was a bit sad. Here's a direct quote from my journal on January 6th, 2011:
"I'm sad I won't see Maria del Carmen all the way through, but we did our part. The Lord's will is going to happen, so all I have to do is trust Him and do my best." We took down her new address, passed it on to the elders in that area, and that was the end of my seeing her... or so I thought.
I was transferred to Jardines de Morelos two weeks ago. Other than the fact that it was in my zone, the name sounded pretty familiar to me, but I couldn't remember why. One day, I thought to check my old planner. I looked up Maria del Carmen and saw that the address that she is currently living at is in our area. The elders that were in this area before me hadn't looked her up. I was so excited! We went to her house quite a few times during the first couple weeks, but could never find her at home. Finally, we went at the right time on Saturday night. Here's what I wrote:
"Tonight we went to try and see Maria del Carmen again. As we approached the house, we could see that the lights were on, so I knew she was there. As I knocked on the door, I was a bit nervous. It felt like I was visiting an ex-girlfriend (not that I'd know) that I hadn't seen in a while, and was unsure how she would react." Please excuse the comparison, but that's how it was.
Long story short she was there and thrilled to see us, and she's just as solid as ever. She's currently in 2 Nephi in her personal study. She came to church yesterday and just loved it. She lives alone, so it was good that we were able to visit with her and be with her for a little while. We're hoping to baptize her this Sunday. I´m so grateful for the everyday miracles that the Lord gives us to strengthen our faith and dependency in Him.
Have a wonderful week, I hope everyone never forgets the spiritual experiences you've had that you keep in your journal, right? Good.
Love, Elder Jordan Keele

Hola familia!
Well, we changed the baptism of Rolando (the grandpa) from the 12th to yesterday!! :D It was amazing! But also very crazy. We had many problems and so has he since he decided to be baptized. (Including people breaking into his house!) The baptism was before church at 8 in the morning so that he could receive the gift of the Holy Ghost rather than waiting for next week. It almost didn´t happen, but my companion and I said a prayer and everything went well after that! :) Whew!
They changed the transfer days to Mondays, so we found out last night that both Hna. Moreno and I are staying here in Almagro!! Wahoo!! We also found out today that we will be able to teach an investigator who is barely on the other side of our boundaries. His wife has a calling in our ward, and he´s never accepted listening to missionaries before us. She's been begging us to ask permission. We called our zone leaders today and my companion explained the long story but in the middle of it he stopped her saying" Hermana hermana listen to me!!" .... suspense "Baptize him!!" And that´s all he said. Wahoo!! His name is Pablo and could use your prayers so that he can receive an answer!!
Anyway it´s been a good week, and I'm looking forward to this one as well! :) Hope all is well!
I miss eating food and watching the Super Bowl commercials in the morning! haha Hope the game was fun! Congrats Derek and Nathan on your Eagles!! I love you all soo much!!! I wrote to Jen, and I hope she gets it. I know she will be well taken care of. We have such an amazing, wonderful, supportive, loving family! Love you all!!!

Elder Jordan Keele- Jan. 31, 2011
Um, wow! That pretty much explains how I feel right now. Things are going super great! As far as numbers go, my new companion and I have gotten the highest I've ever had in almost every category ever since I've been on my mission. We've been working extra hard, and the blessings are starting to flow. I can't even number the cool experiences I've had this past week. My new companion is Elder Rodriguez from Monterrey. Sound familiar? My last companion has the same last name, and is from the same state :)
Another thing that is similar for this week, is that I'm actually staying in the same zone, Tecamac, serving about 20 minutes drive from where I last was. Our area is called Jardines de Morelos/Montes. The area is humongous! We're in charge of two wards, so there are lots of new things we're learning together. Last night I was informed that there are 9 Americans that got their VISA's, and are coming to this mission this week. We'll be receiving another companion, and will be a trio starting Thursday. I'm not sure if our third companion will be another greenie, or if they'll just change some things around and give us a more experienced missionary. Either way, I won't find out until Thursday, and either way, I'm super excited!
We don't have much time today, because we've had a lot of things to do. But I know the Lord blesses us as we do our best with all the trials, challenges, struggles, and hardships that come our way. Every single one of them is for our good, and the Lord knows how to handle things. So trust Him. Thanks for all the support I get, I love you all! Take care, and I'll let you know who my new new companion is next week :)
Take care!
